Oprah's New Church?

I have been reading online recently about all the mess that this Oprah "NEW AGE" thing is causing all kinds of bitterness from Christians. This is probably ok since God is probably very bitter also and that gives the Christians the right to be bitter. I think, since I like to think for myself that God being all that he is doesn't have any wants or desires and he/she needs nothing at all. God does not have to deal with emotions of the ego because he has no ego. The ONLY emotion that God is or has would be LOVE!

I do not condemn what you believe in. I too was raised in a southern Baptist church like many others and within the past 8 or so years I have been questioning my beliefs that I was taught from my parents who were taught from their parents and on and on. I have also read the Bible and studied it. Something isn't right with these books all put together over 2,000 years ago. I recently read a book by Acharya S called "The Christ Conspiracy, The Greatest Story Ever Sold". Now I do know that you probably will not read this book however I will still recommend it to you and all Christians alike. This was a very enlightening book to read because it really opened my eyes to many things. To make a long story short the evidence of the Bibles authenticity is at best very disturbing to me. You see the bible has been changed,edited and messed with since it started to be written which was somewhere between 2 and 4 hundred years after everything had supposedly happened. The only history we have of this man called Jesus is the Bible. We have plenty of historical documents written by all the famous historians in this era but nothing from them about this mans life, miracles, or popularity like the Bible so beautifully tells.

What I am saying here is that I want to think for myself and weigh the evidence and decide for myself what is the truth. I have concluded that LOVE IS TRUTH and not what the Bible says it is. God did not create evil beings although it does seem that we as a human race can be very evil sometimes. We all seem to think that we are apart from each other when in reality there is only ONE. I feel God every day I am alive and I am filled with love, compassion and goodwill towards all on this earth. Heaven and Hell are nothing but states of mind. They are not places you go. It is impossible for God to condemn because God is a creator not a destroyer. We are creators also. I create my world around me just like everyone else on this planet.

You are a god, the creator of your self, and it's not a new age fantasy or belief, you are a god. Sounds like blasphemy doesn't it? Well they said the same thing in my day and tried to stone me to death for making the statement . . . just as today many cry blasphemy and turn against whomever says they are a god. Reading John 10:33-34, The Jews answered me, saying, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy; because thou, being a man, maketh thyself God. I answered them,

Is it not written in your law,
I said, Ye are gods?

And sure enough, if you turn to and read Psalms 82:6, you read, I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

You see, this follows my teaching of the Father, the individualized god part of yourself. We are all gods. Here on earth there is the Son of man, which becomes born again as the Son of god - ONE with your Father god who art in heaven.

There is only one other "god" reference made in this way which has been recorded in the Bible, and that is in Acts 17:18 where Paul was teaching in Athens, reading, ... and some said, What will this babbler say? others said, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods ...

GOOD AND EVIL

What is good and evil? The religions of the world have approached the subject of evil in different ways. The Western beliefs use Satan, created in writings of the Old Testament, as the personification of evil. The ancient Hebrew religion said that evil came from God, as punishment for man’s disobedience; but a problem in the Hebrew faith made it necessary to change their doctrine. Jerusalem surrendered to the Babylonians in 597 BCE , and the city was destroyed in 586 BCE; For half a century Jewish captivity and exile took place . It started looking as though Yahweh (the god of Abraham) was punishing the Hebrew people.

They began to believe in a “doomsday” attitude, and that God had broken his covenant due to the disobedience of the people. Decades of trying to appease Yahweh without success it became apparent that the religion, provided no hope to the believers. The Persian duality concept of good (ormazd) and evil (ahriman) led the Old Testament writers to develop a similar doctrine; and between 538 BCE and 518 BCE, the contemporary characterization of Satan was born

Satan, the enemy God, allowed the religion to blame what was perceived as punishment from God on a new and opposing figure, creating an Abrahamic form of duality. The name Satan only appears in four books of the Old Testament, and is prominent in only one {Job: written between 500 and 250 BCE), by the time Christianity appeared, adaptation of Persian duality had become widely accepted in Judaism. Christians expanded the role of Satan, and brought him almost to the same level as God with each having the ability to control a person’s mind (or soul). This now meant that God was only connected with good, Satan only with evil, and humanity were helpless pawns in the staged competition between the two entities.

To allow evil beings to override the intent of God, is to say that divine will is not omnipotent. To permit entities to afflict mankind as a test of virtue, is to say that God is not omniscient; for if God already knows whether you are good or bad, He is simply tormenting the innocent without cause, and is consequently evil himself.

There IS Nothing But God

Nothing exists outside of God. Everything in creation, at its most basic level, is filled with the essence of God. There is nothing else!

Mankind insists on the notion that God is separate from us and we are separate from each other. The truth is that we are one with God and each other. God is in everything we see. He/She is in us all and we are in her. There is only One in this universe and that is God. Science has proven that everything in the universe is Energy. This energy is huge and you and I are a part of that energy. God is the source and if she were to shoot all the energy my way I would explode. I could not handle it and neither could you. He disperses this energy perfectly so that we can function in this world.

The Bible has told us that God is a spirit being. It also says that God made us in his image. Spirit is translated as "Breath". See here Logic tells me that breath has no form. So if God is formless then how did he make us in his/her image? We have been told that God gets angry, jealous, judgmental, and vengeful. I thought God was perfect. I thought the he has unconditional love. The Bible seems to send mixed messages as to the real nature of God. If God is perfect then she would not have any of the traits of us. Other interesting points are that he is prejudice and she shows favoritism and that God is male. God cannot have gender, he is spirit or breath...remember. This Blog is not to cut down any religion. I want only to point out some interesting facts that you can think about. I was taught the very same thing as a child. My advice is to not believe anything you read, not even what I am saying here. Just have an open mind and think about whatever you read and then listen to your heart. The real truth is inside you.
